Regular Basic Course Modular Format Academy Module II
Class Description:
The Regular Basic Course- Modular Format Academy- Module II is certified by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) and is presented in the extended format.

Module II consists of 271 instructional hours. Upon successful completion of Module II the student will receive a Certificate of Completion and up to 9 units of lower division elective credit and may apply as a Level II reserve with a participating law enforcement agency.
Subject matter includes but not limited to: property crimes, laws of arrest, community relations, criminal law, investigative report writing, laws of evidence, force and weaponry, traffic enforcement, criminal investigation, custody, physical fitness, and defense techniques.

Students will be required to have a driver’s license and a vehicle available for range travel.

Because this course is designed to provide practical hands on training in police tactics and weapon usage, participants in this course will engage in physically demanding classroom training exercises that include a risk of injury to the participants.

Legal Mandates:
Students will be required to physically exert themselves.  It is required that each student pass a medical examination for physical fitness and submit a DOJ criminal history clearance letter.

High school diploma or GED, at least 18 years old, completion of Module III

End Date: Friday, August 30, 2013

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 1800-2300 hours
Every other Saturday 0700-1700 hours
